I use a Korg Pandora between my guitar and the soundcard mic jack (266 laptop/ 333 desktop with standard Ensoniq), Or my Fender Chorus amp with an adapter on the line out. The only problem with the amp is that I have to turn it way down or it clips (even with record volume way down)... but I like the recorded sound of the amp way better than the double-digitized sound of the fx processor di ...Maybe I'm delusional.

What do you use to edit? What do you use to record?
Say... is there anything available for deriving notation from .wav files? There is a lot of stuff that will print music from midi, but I can't seem to find anything that does the same for .wav

Check this program out:

Digital Ear, I tried transcribe a guitarpart using it once.

It's a wav to midi converter,.. a bit odd program but it works.

Thanks Peter, I down loaded the trial version of Digital Ear, and it looks like a very useful program.
