Djent Metal Rock- Private Online Lessons

Hello! I've been a full member of GuitarTricks for perhaps 6 years now but I have an inquiry about your private one on one cam lessons through Guitar Tricks. I have a guitar buddy that is considering joining Guitar Tricks; he would like to know if you or other instructors in the GT Forum have knowledge about Djent Metal style playing.

Please let me know if you have any abilities to teach this style of metal rock or know of others teaching this through a personal online session.

Hi Tony,

I'm familiar with the Djent Metal style (Animals As Leaders, Meshuggah) and the 7- to 8-string guitars they use, but I teach mainly on 6-string guitars in all styles, including metal. I can show you and your friend the important metal techniques like playing with an over driven tone and getting a good sound, palm muting, sweep picking, tapping, and playing in odd time signatures that Tosin uses in his style.

Big thanks for getting back to me on Djent Metal, appreciate it! I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to my guitar study and rock musical interests. I'm working on the road at the time and currently studying the Rock Level II Course with Instructor Anders, that will be my study focus for the time being.

I will pass on your response to my friend Michael; how does he sign up for your private lessons? Can he be a GuitarTricks trial member for starters to take advantage of your private lessons or does he need to be a full fledged member?
