Can someone give me the finger picking pattern used on "Blessed Assurance" by Alan Jackson?

Thanks

Joel

Hi Joel,

We do not have that song but we do teach this song from Alan Jackson: https://www.guitartricks.com/tutorial.php?input=1886

If you have specific songs you'd like to see on our site, make sure to submit them right here: https://guitartricks.typeform.com/to/rmHzhK

Thanks!

Here's a video from the Opry but it appears to be a '3 down / 3 up' finger pick pattern, which is pretty standard.

For instances the open D chord would be (by string) D-down > G-down > B-down (then) high E-up > B-up > G-up

For Blessed Assurance, our church plays it as C>F>G>D>C (or something like that). So the open C chord might be picked like (by string) A-down > D-down > G-down (then) high E-up > B-up > G-up

That's the best I can tell. With Blessed Assurance, I don't finger pick it when I play, it's a 'strummer' for our church but when I finger picked it just now, some where finger picked and some were a strummed chord based on the amount of time between chord changes.
