Well, it was on my bucket list to learn an instrument and I love the sound of guitars and fascinated by those that play.

I am 5 days in and feeling my fingers are slightly chunky to not hit the nearest string thus far. I am praying that I overcome this obstacle.

I will be reading some of the forums to keep marching on.

Keep the dedication and practice going.

Jim

5 days in? Congratulations! I PROMISE your fingers will find their way. You are at the very beginning of the journey. Enjoy!

Everyon e starting on the guitar feels their fingers are too big/long/fat/short/mis-shapen/uncoordinated and so on.....

Which is to say; wecome to the awesome world of guitar playing!!!!!!!!

Yep, like anything new, it'll take some time for your hands to do what your mind wants them too. Everyone had that at some time. We all still do. When I learn something, sure it might be easier than when I started playing so long ago but; I still get moments where my fingers just don't want to do what I ask. If you look at some of my recent posts, I document that a bit.

Part of the game but why guitar playing is awesome. No matter how long you play, there's always a new adventure.
