Hello everyone ! I just started a couple of weeks ago and have been practicing about a half hour a day. I'm 60 years old and so i wouldnt say this is quite a midlife thing but it definitely was a why not thing. when I was about 11 my dad came home with a Ibanez electric guitar he got at a pawn shop. I started taking lessons at the local music store but the instructor was tring to teach me tunes like Mary had a little lamb.I was like dude im listening to Hendrix and Sabbath at home ! what i couldnt get at the time was that i had to learn the basics first. Now here i am at 60 and i was at a music store getting a stand for my daughters keyboard and next thing you know i was trying out guitars and found out that they rented instruments so now i am the proud renter of a Epiphone sg 400 and i am having a ball ! Lisa i have learned more in two weeks than i did in two months when i was 11 ! Now im not Hendrix but I dont have to be im just having fun !

The first and best reason to be here and to practice guitar.

Welcome to the crowd!

Can relate to your "Mary Had a Little Lamb" experience. o.O

John nailed it!

If the "lovin it!" grin factor is perpetual, you've already got a huge factor barracking in your corner.[br][br]Oh, & welcome aboard the fun train.

Ha ha ha, Mary Had a Little Lamb.

That’s why I love teaching here at GuitarTricks - our lessons (while certainly friendly and useful for some youngsters) are designed with adult students in mind.

I am glad to know you are having so much fun! Yay!
