I am a beginner, so most of this is new to me. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is from the beginning of Shine on you Crazy Diamonds by Pink Floyd.

17b(19)r17p15

I know the b means to bend to a 19, but what does the r mean? I can't recall seeing one before. So my question is ... "How do I play this short little riff?"

Thanks for the help

Hey bikefreak, the "r" means to release the bend, you just ease the bend and let the pitch return to where you started at the 17th fret, I would play this by fretting the 15th fret with my index finger, fret the 17th with my ring finger, pick the 17th, bend up to the 19th, release back to the 17th, pull-off to the 15th, you only need to pick the first note, play it slow until you get it down.......

Man, you really must be a begginer if you don´t know that (just kiddin´).

Pstring said it. pinch 17, bend up to 19 and whitout pinchin´ againg realese it down to 17 again. It´s very simple and you will get around it i no time. Good Luck
