Is it right to move the fingers when picking? i mean i dont move the arm, i move the fingers, i feel it gives me better speed.
I saw players moving their arms or wrists but i cant find one moving the fingers...

I was told that its really hard to do fast sherding unless you only move the fingers, but other wise its more correct to move the arm instead. Not quite sure why, but i assume is cuz u get more accuracy and control on the string us wish to pluck.
WWSD? What would stevie do?

I feel better control and get better speed when moving only the fingers, and when moving the arm your are moving too much of your body i think, so you cant get real speed.
The reason that i asked this really is because of i was told the moving the wrist is the right thing to do, if there IS a right thing to do. and i dont know what i need to do, stay with moving the fingers or practice moving the wrist.
Is there some master or guitar teacher here that can give me some advice?

Whatever sound best, not everything is about speed.

I think that´s good man. I think that Yngwie picks that way, only movin´ fingers. If you feel OK with that than go for it man. There aren´t many players who can do it fast. But to be honest, my opinion is that there´s no picking rule like how to hold your pick our how to pick. I mean, look at the giants players out there, evryone of them got different technique.

When it comes to shredding I pick from the elbow. I´ve heard that it can be dangerous but if I play somthing damn fast for let´s say 20 sec. I only need a rest for 10 sec. to play it all over again and I can go like that forever if I want to and I never felt pain and been playn like that for 3 yrs. It may look painful (picking from elbow, I mean when I watch Steve Morse our Zakk Wylde I tell my self, man that´s gotta hurt and all that expression on theirs face and stuff like that) but I think you only need to be relaxed.

PS. By the way, this is my 100-ed post evrybody!!!
