Hi folks, just thought I'd let you all know that I have put together some information on scales for musicians to access. It contains about 40 different scale forms (none are modes of others) of between 5 and 7 notes/octave (only counting the root once).
The unique thing about this site is that contains tables indicating how many notes that two scales share. This way if you want to move between two scales you can find out if you can do so only changing one note (thus reducing the dissonance in the change). You can also use this to find intermediate scales that make the change more pleasing.
I'd appreciate it if you report any errors to me if you find any.
It's on my brother's page and includes some rather ancient informationm about me. Here's the url http://www.classaxe.com
go to "friends" then to "Andrew F." then follow the links.

If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?
