I agree with you aiwass. He does have talent, but I don't think he shows as much of it as he could. The worst solos to me are the cheesy 80 metal bands that just make thier songs worst by adding in a horrible solo. I'm not saying that all of the bands were like that, but you know what I'm talking about.

I loved the Superatural album when it cmae out. So I wne t and bougth his GHits and I thougt it was absoliutely hrrible. If you look aup the dictionary under "dissapointment" youll find a pciture of me holding my Santana greatest hits album. I also appear under "let-down". Now, I skip most og ythe tracks on Supernatural, except for the songs he did with Matchbox 20 and Everlast and Dave Matthews. And the song with th e Spanish guy. Im not really the kind to talk about what music I think is crap, Im not one to talk. With the execption of Bon Jovi, who I have a huge grudge agaosnt for no real reason.

Sortry, theres alot of mistakes there, Ill change them later.

i always get crucified everytime i mention this, i think Kurt Cobain. he's not a skilled guitarist or a revolutionary. i think his songwriting is good but that'ss about it.
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

yeah, i was thinking that exact thing about curt kobain!! i don't see what the hell is so great about him. his music didn't seem to have any skill in it at all. and he was considered to have started punk so he can burn and die.forgot.... he's already dead. if you want a good band with a sound sorta like his, but WAY better check alice in chains. the singer died from a drug overdose while curt died bc he couldn't handle the pressure??? that's pretty gay

yea, alice in chains are pretty good, although i wouldn't consider them grunge. i would put them more in the metal category. just because they came out around the same time, they got lumped in with bands like nirvana.

I heard Cobain took heroin cos of his stomach pains, I dont know how true this is.

Nirvana didnt invent punk, that was invented in he mid-70's. Your thinking of grunge.

Nirvana didn't start punk. They started grunge man. Alice in Chains is good, but they are different than Nirvana. I respect Kurt and the rest of the band. I think people don't like them so much because they were given so much praise and credit, it all comes down whether you liked their music or not.

it crept up from behind and thought 'well never mind'
took a syringe and blew out his life

I tink people like Mark Tremonte (SP?) who play one finger power chordes and are totally over rated. My opinion is, if you've got talent, show it.
And going back to Santana, I like his new stuff better too, but I dont mean only his new songs, I mean when he playes Black Magic Woman now, not 20 years ago. Check out his album, Sacred Fire; Live in South America, and listen to the stuff Like Angels All Around Us, or Gypsey Queen. Those are cool songs.
And God said, 'Let there be rock!'
-And it was good
