It was basically just a big volume knob sitting in a small metal case on top of your amp.
You cranked your amp up to about 7, and lowered the volume on the attenuator to around 3 and you could get a great distortion sound without blasting your ears off.

Man, I'm soo excited I can't stand it. I ordered one with cream colored knobs. You can choose from several different colors, for the knobs. I almost went with green. :D
