Nightwish, unbelievable band!

Hi guys,

just a quick note to let you know about a band I knew of but never took the time to really appreciate.

NIGHTWISH - give it a listen.

This is not guitar oriented band but you will be suprise what they could acheive by mixing A Almost-opera-like-singer with classical instruments, and an electric guitar.

Powermetal fan line up and enjoy the sound of this band.

Also benoit were you involved with the Emerald Visions recording project? I missed out on the collaborations because I was in Spain for 11 months..then I come back and it's no longer active...sucks. I Remember Rany and I were supposed to do a metalized vcersion of Trilogy suite (Yngwie) Wich I have already recorded and waiting for the Emerald Vision members to collaborate on it.

I don't beleive I've ever heard about that project.

I like Yngwie (old albums), he did bring such a great new style.

I'm not part of any collab right now, I'm waiting for some anwser from one other guitartricks member. If he can we will be posting multitrack lessons in my section. He will provide the bass track and I'm sure will have some great ideas for the other tracks as well.

Keep me posted on that collab, I would like to hear it.

seen nightwish live a few times around here - pretty cool band.. there are some others like them here too - give Haggard a try

Also a good band.

I listened to Within temptation yesterday. Good band but not as good as Nightwish
