...what would it be?

I don't exactly frequent this board on a regular basis, so I dunno if this thread has been done before. If so, just lock it or whatever...

If I had a pick of anything, I'd probably go for a tele (either a thinline or an old 70' model). Unimaginitive I know...but they sound bloody great...

Although I am stuck with Jacksons since i can't live without Floyd Rose Tremolo and 24 frett neck..

but if I have enough extra money, I'd go for a Gibson 'Les Paul Elegant (Quilt Top)' , or may be a 'Les Paul Standard Cherry Sunburst'

There comes a point where something else can only be 'different', not necessarily 'better'. I've been playing a Yamaha SBG 1000 for 18 years, now, and I haven't found anything I really thought was better. I own a half-dozen guitars, and I like to prowl around music shops, pulling things off the racks to try 'em out, but all the others are simply different. :)

I really like the guitar I have now; an Ibanez RG570 with a Sustainiac and a GK-2 hex pickup. I've played a far few others in the 9 years I've owned it, but it's still my favourite guitar.

If I got anything else, it'd be pretty similar; an Ibanez Talman body, with a neck like my RG570's, H-S-H pickups, with the bridge humbucker being a SoundGarage hex driver, and a piezo-loaded Wilkinson trem.
Squeeze the day!

I absolutely cannot live without my Customized guitar.

It's a 22 fret (Scalloped from the 15 to the 22 with custom mother of pearl inlays; looks like throwing stars),
A custom paint job (Midnight blue, with "Ghost" flames),
EMG 81 in the bridge, EMG 89 in the neck, Two volume knobs and no tone knobs, EMG Phase inverter switch, and an EMG power amp switch, and a Kahler Trem. (They need to bring back the Kahler because it blows the floyd outta the water). My Ibanez Sabre Custom also has EMG's (81 and 2 SA's) same with my strat copy.

My 2 dream guitars would be to get an original Randy Rhoads Jacson flying V (limited reissue) or have the guy who built my main guitar make a replica of Randy's polka dotted flying v but with EMG's and a kahler trem (I have in a box).
I started learning guitar because of Randy Rhoads..but Yngwie J. Malmsteen is my biggest influence.
