How does everybody here learn to play a song? I have played guitar 4 months and I have not played a whole song, sad huh. I am learning sad but true, easy enough right? I learned the basic parts and I am now working on the solo.
What would you rate this song on difficulty to play? Would this be about right on schedule or should I have been able to play this after a month?

I myself usually take about a week for a complex song with solos, I cant do very fast stuff yet but I can pull some neat stuff. For stuff like papa roach and P.O.D., type stuff, it usually takes me a day or two.

P.S.Learn "Of angels and Insects" by papa roach, its way fun to play and people like it.

for me, it depends on the song. Oddly enough, I pick up Primus alot faster than much simpler stuff like the Refreshments or STP. And if you're going to learn a song, learn "Golden Boy," (primus) or "psychologicly overcast" (fishbone), both have some really kick ass riffs... but that's just my opinion
