.....tighten the springs down until the bridge sits flush with the body. Therefore, when strings break, the bridge can't move and your guitar won't go out of tune. It also makes drastic tuning changes alot easier.
This by the way is how SRV had his strats set up.

*And thatz EXACTLY how the V setz up his Floyd Rose axes :D....(Good advise, dude :) )....Also, this makes it nice if ya wanna try out some different gauge strings (like Hybrid slinkys, Gotta love that .46 on the low E :D)...Ya don't have to set the guitar back up each time you experiment...
