I think that most of Hendrix's solos are medium. No shred, not real easy, just perfect.

Baba O'Reilly by the Who. Its a slow solo, but I like it.

Maybe you should try some ACDC live stuff Try the album Live At Donigton... There are other things too. Little Wing played by Ray Vaughan I think it´s a good one. Follow that line and you may find what your looking for...
Hope it helps.

I personally like the intro lead part of fade to Black by Metallica and a really great solo is the 1st one in Comfortably numb by Pink Floyd. Check them out...Floyd have lots of melodic solos that sound great.

Yeah, SRV's version especially. He comes close to shredding in that one.

The first solo I ever "learned" was "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica. By "learned" I mean that I basically got the notes right, but it never quite sounded the same as the song.

Anyways, that's a "medium" solo, I guess. Actually, I don't really know what you mean by "medium". Do you mean medium in difficulty? That's what I would assume.

How about:

"Let it Be" - Beatles
"Don't Look Back in Anger" - Oasis (basically an extended version of "Let it Be")
"One" - Metallica (the tapping part is pretty easy)
"Time" - Pink Floyd
"Mother" - Pink Floyd
"Stairway to Heaven" - Led Zeppelin (the first little bit, at least)
... and that's all I have to say about that.

ALL generalizations are WRONG
