I encourage you to start working through the Guitar Fundamentals courses.

The best way to gain strength & dexterity is to practice musical skills. And if you need additional exercises to get your fingers up to speed Lisa has this tutorial on spider fingers.

And I have these trill exercises that can help you gain strength & dexterity.

Hope that helps! Please ask more if necessary. Best of success with your guitar!

Hey Danny, come on over to Guitar Fundamentals, and I’ll meet you there! It’s a very methodical course that is designed to give you a good foundation of basic skills across the board.

Christopher’s suggestions are always spot-on, too!

Hi Danny.

As a GT student myself, I can affirm Christopher and Lisa's advice will take you where you want to go as quickly as practically possible.

That first link Christopher provided is really where you should start.

The links to finger exercises are of course worthwhile, but finger exercises in general are boringly dry fare, and to begin with, I suspect you'll find those more frustrating than rewarding. Cheers.
