To answer meaningfully, I have three questions.
Hand size? Neck profile, fingerboard radius, nut width, string spacing, scale length are all more critical the smaller your hands and length of your fingers and arms are. You wouldn't run or ride a marathon in a poorly fitting pair of shoes or incorrectly sized bike. Guitars are no different.
Current level of accomplishment?
i.e. in order to choose an easy to keep in tune, maintain and friendly to play guitar which will facilitate confidence and progress or one which might better take advantage of existing skills if already accomplished with acoustic or classical.
What genre of music do you play/aspire to play?
i.e. Metal, Blues, Country, Pop, Classic rock, Folk rock
Your budget will buy you something decent if you choose quality specifications over brand prestige.
Edit: P.S. Which Blackstar amp have you chosen? I have two Blackstar amps (of four).
