Major & minor diatonic & pentatonic cover most of what you need to use to play melodies & solos.

I've done a lot of tutorials on learning to improvise. The basic idea is to find the key, target chord tones of the chord progression & create a melody.

After you learn the basics, then the most important thing to do is to build a repertoire of licks & tricks that you can use to have a vocabulary of things to play.
