Ok, what does an octave effect peddle do and a phse shifter do. If you cant explain it send me to a site or refer me thank you.

An Octave pedal produces a note one octave down from the one you're playing, and mixes that with your signal.
A Phase Shifter adds a very small delay to the original signal, and then mixes that with the original. This is not quite the same as a delay effect, because the amount of delay, (or shift), varies with the pitch of the note. The result has a whoooosh kind of sound to it, as the amount of phase shift is swept up and down.
