Hi!

I am at the end of guitar fundamentals 2. there is only last chapter i didn't watch. actually i didn't master all of the material, so i need advice.

I can do everything at guitar fundamentals 1, but i can't hit the right bass note when i strum. i tried it with metronome, and i did it at 110 bpm. should i get that skill? is it really important?

at guitar fundamentals 2, i learned everything. i can use all of the barre chords. i can move from one to another. but i have a little problem about 5th string major barre chords. i can use them but when i move from one to another there is a little problem. do you know any exercise to practice them?

And with this 2 problems can i start the rock course?

Hi there,

These are really great questions.

Hitting the correct bassnote while strumming is fairly important, and it's especially important for the song you're playing, if the song calls for something like that. I wouldn't stress too much about it though. What's more important is if your chords sounds good, that all of the notes ring true in one fluid motion. The more you play rhythms and chords, you'll get it.

What is the problem you're having with 5th string barre chords? You might want to check out this lesson that deals with them:https://www.guitartricks.com/lesson.php?input=19403&s_id=1504

This is a rock level 1 course and in it, Anders will go over 6th string as well as 5th string barre chords. Check it out and let us know what you think!
