Hello there forumites!

My name is Robin, I am in my thirties, from the Netherlands Europe.

My goal is to re-learn playing the guitar with a focus on (classic rock) and blues.

In my teens I took lessons, but the music choice of my teacher ultimately didn’t align with what I wanted to achieve playing the guitar and as a result my motivation fell and I quit after about 2 years.

At the same time I was infrequently performing with a high-school band which was fun.

Then life happened; chasing a career, growing up, getting married and having a family.

Never once I touched the guitar again.

But now that my youngest is going to elementary school in a year’s time its time to start prepping again. The mornings will become free and it will be a splendid time to start dedicating time to my lost ambition again: get a rock on! :)

Armed with an old Peavey strat and a Vox VT30 Valvetronic amp I am going to re-learn the guitar.

I am delighted to have found Guitartricks! It seems to offer the exact guidance I am after!

I hope to meet lots of wonderful people here and learn a lot from you guys.

Sparking with anticipation,

Robin

Hi Yskonyn!

I'm glad to hear that you never gave up on your dream. Life definitely happens, but that's okay, you're here now and you've got plenty of time to learn guitar.

Anyway, I'm glad you're having fun with GT lessons. As always, just let us know if you have any questions and if you want, you can always leave questions and comments to the instructors in this forum, too!
