hi I'm a complete newbie. I was just wondering if I am good to move to the next lesson if I haven't perfected the spider fingers exercise yet?.. I am able to do them extremely slow , but whenever I try to speed up the rhythm I mute some of the String. I know this is probably a stupid question but how do I know that I am good to move forward? & how long should I be practicing each lesson before I advance? Thanks in advance for any advice !

Hey & welcome to GT!

You are only done with any given lesson when you completely understand the concept being taught and, or can do the physical skill being taught.

Having said that, some things are harder than others, so it's fine to move forward in the course to keep things fresh & interesting. But always make time to go back over previous material until you have it mastered completely.

Hope that helps! Have fun!
