Focus on picking or fretting?

Hey everyone,

I'm working on Blue Style Level 1 and I am at the "classic Blues Rif with a Lick" video and am wondering, should I focus on making the picking muscle memory and focus my eyes and attention on my fretting fingers or the other way around?

I find its better to focus on picking and have fretting be muscle memory. At least, it is working better for me anyway. Problem solved.
