I think i use a hell of lot of hammer-ons and pull-offs.
A bit too much---but anyway thats the trick/technique i use the most ever hands down.

I use extremely heavy strings on my electric (12-52) in order to get those fat sounds, so i guess thats my technique.

Tapping really fast endings on a song, instead of picking them. You know, when you come to the end and you do the big finish.
And God said, 'Let there be rock!'

Making my les paul sound as tho it has a whammy bar. By bending the neck or pull the top string off the fret board to raise the note higher than a normal bend.

Palm muting
Pinched harmonics
Wammy bar masterbations
sweeping
bending
vibrato
speed picking
hammerons and pulloffs (including chords)

These are what I use everytime I play. I'll tap from time to time but it's not a strong point of mine or a part of my overall playing style. And usually when i do tap it's tapping out chords like Tony Macalpine would do. I learned that style from an instructional video of his that I bought and I'm still not even close to as good as he can do it. I'll even dabble in using the slide from time to time and I still suck at it...lol :-)
I started learning guitar because of Randy Rhoads..but Yngwie J. Malmsteen is my biggest influence.

I can make some really loud smashing noises when I'm smashing my guitar on the stage.
Oh, and my wife says I can make my guitar sound like someone's dying when I practice.

Playing one note for an entire solo.
That and keeping my guitar in tune.
And now that I've learnt how to balance it so that it doesn't fall off the side.
