I recommend moving onto the next lesson as soon as you feel like you've understood what you've learned, or feel comfortable. If you feel like you've gone ahead and are in over your head, it's totally okay to move back a lesson for review.

Also, one of the best ways to learn is by learning songs, too. So be sure to pepper in some songs in between lessons from the Core Learning.
