I am completely new and no nothing. Never played at all. Was forced to a divorce i didnt want, So I'm trying to do things I have always wanted to do to keep me sane. And I always wanted to learn guitar.

Gotta admit the introduction video was way overwhelming for me because I know absolutely nothing even though the video said where to start all that stuff out there was very overwhelming but I'm gonna try my best because I really wanna learn even at 50 don't know how good I can be but I love music.

I'm sorry to hear about the divorce, must be hard. It's never too late to start a new life, and the guitar will definitely help/.

Welcome on board, my friend, and best of luck in music and in your real life.

Wish you the best. :)

Hiya scoff68 and welcome to Guitar Tricks! I'm sorry to hear about the divorce, that is never any fun. Don't worry about your age it is just a number. Plenty of folks here older than that. I'm 52 and continue the learning process. Best wishes on your journey! Music and making it is therapeutic.

Welcome!

I have been there (divorce) and know it is no fun. I am picking up the guitar as a soon to be 50-year-old, starting from square one as well.

Good luck and get after it!
