I just recently started to really get into ear training, and I now know the basic how to find out which chords are used. But I was wondering if somebody could recommed any songs or bands which are perfect for a beginger to start learning by hear. I know that blues so be a good place to start, but I dont know which songs would be best.

I am mostly looking for I-IV-V progression chord songs

I don't know what style of era of music you enjoy. But I can recommend these artists for early rock songs to learn.

The Beatles (mostly early stuff)

Buddy Holly

Chuck Berry

Beach Boys

Can't go wrong with that stuff! :) Very straight forward chord progressions, song structures and clear melodies.

Blues is good for chords & melodies.

BB King

Jimmy Reed

Elmore James

Stevie Ray Vaughan

A lot of showtunes that were turned into jazz standards are also fun to learn.

Gershwin

Ellington

Berlin

Rogers & Hammerstein

That stuff has GREAT melodies & chord progressions, but is typically a little more complex.

Hope his helps! Have fun!
