Jason Becker was a spectacular guitarist. If you haven't heard what he could do with a guitar, you're missing out. He was very well rounded, playing with Cacophony, the David Lee Roth band, and then on his own. His classical song that he wrote for his mother, "Air", is a masterpiece in technical skill and contrapuntal writing. I'm as big a fan of Malmsteen, Vai, Satriani, and Gilbert as any one else, but if Jason's talents had lasted he truly would be one of the best guitarists ever. Sadly, he developed Lou Gerhig's disease, and can no longer play. I know that his father and some of his closest friends went through the archives and pieced together an album for fundraising purposes. Really, if you haven't checked out Jason Becker, do so now. You'll thank me later.
