Hi from New Jersey! My guitar journey starts 2day!

Hello :)

I have been a memeber of guitar tricks for a few months but have't stuck with the lessons. Today I am going to start again! I am a singer/songwriter and I want to be able to eventually write/compose my own songs with the guitar and play them! I actually can't even read music (yet) despite the fact that I played piano when I was younger and have been involved with music all my life (I am 37). I know I have a long way to go, but I am committed to it and excited about this learning journey, no matter how long it takes. I am slightly overwhelmed by all I have to learn but Guitar Tricks seems very supportive and fun.

I'm glad to hear you're coming back, and in force! As a piano player, you know that learning an instrument takes a bit of time and dedication. But it sounds like you're really determined which is great. And if you ever feel overwhelmed, remember music is about having fun. And it's totally okay to take breaks and just play a song you enjoy. There are tons of song tutorials you can choose to learn with Guitar Tricks, and a bunch of techniques, too. But always have fun.
