Hi, can anyone give me a strumming pattern for "Let's start a band" by Amy Macdonald?

Thanks,

Guy.

Hi geschema,

Based on this live performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D1ZAbaZVRo

Looks like she's using a simple Down-Up, Down-Up strum pattern. But she is crossing out some of the strums, that is, her hand is still making the strum motions but she's not actually striking the strings. You do this to accentuate the strums and if you listen closely to her acoustic guitar, there sounds like a half-beat beat between strums. It sounds like it's also in standard 4/4 time. She's strumming fairly quickly too, and she actually kind of adds more strums as the song progresses.

I hope that makes sense!

Thanks, it looks like she uses a different strum pattern when she's playing live than on the recorded version.

The recorded version sounds like this to me:

D D U D D U D D U * U D U
