Hi, my name is Mikko and I´m trying to learn guitar playing with this awesome site. Have been playing 3 months soon, and I guess I´m going forward. I can play A, E, D, G chords smoothly, but got some problems with C.. It´s kind of frustrating, because I think it´s only thing that stops me going forward. I don´t see point of learning new songs with c chord, if I can´t nail it properly. :) Any advices?

Btw, this site is awesome. I use Justin Sandercoe´s beginner songbook aswell, and find this guite good compination.

Hi Mikko and a warm welcome to you.

I would suggest that you move forward in the lessons and, at the same time, keep coming back to practicing the C chord. You will get it eventually.

Keep attention on your posture and your hand position. Keep the thumb behind the neck not over the top. Make sure your finger nails are really short and use the tips of the fingers to press down on the strings.

You are doing really well, so don't get discouraged.

Joe.
