What course are you working through? I encourage you as a beginner to work through the GF1 & 2 courses. Then, since you want to play rock songs, do the Rock 1 & 2 Courses.

What lesson are you on?

In general, you can always go forward to the next lesson of any course to stay interested & learn new things! But always make time to go back over & repeat practice on any idea or skill that until you've completely mastered it!
