Joe is correct, patience is key here. When I first started playing guitar, I felt really discouraged when I went into a guitar shop and heard all the other people play. They were so good! You have to keep your head up, and keep trying and play the songs you want to learn. If you try learning the songs that you're interested in, that is usually the best way to learn, at least that's how it was for me.
