I am Michael, and I have been playing guitar on and off since I was about 15 years old. I am 25 now and I regret not spending more time learning fundamentals because it's kicking me in the butt now. I have pretty good mechanics I believe and a descent beginning understanding of key fundamentals but not as much as I'd like. I've spent my whole time learning to play music I have been inspired by and now I would like to grow and learn to improvise and invent my own style of playing instead of feeling like a robot playing how someone else shows me how to play. So I'm giving this site a try to see if I can expand my knowledge and sharpen my abilities. When I get done, I'd like to be able write my own songs, create my own solos. With that said I am more interested in lead playing. I love rythem as well, don't get me wrong but lead is my dream. Lol.. Just putting this here to see where someone might recommend me start at on this site and what teachers would be a good fit. To be honest I've always been hesitant about spending money on teachers and sites in the past just because of experience with teachers in the past. Look forward to seeing some replies, and thank you people of guitar tricks!
