Tried learning a long time ago using books and never seem to get very far but i watched some videos and this site looks trally interesting. I'm starting out with a old Silvertone I got in 2006 and I'm thinking of just getting an electic in the next couple of months. Look forward to learning!

Agreed. There's certainly plenty of content to get stuck into and some good quality videos. I'd recommend an electric if you plan to go through the Blues or Rock learning paths but your acoustic will be fine for the Fundamentals (if that's the route you're taking). No idea about the Country path as I've not looked at that yet. :-)
