Hey All,

I just finished Guitar Fundamentals 1 and I want to try and play a few songs with the basic chords I know from GF 1 to keep getting some practice before I start GF 2. Here is the link to the chord chart: HERE (an old hymn that's easy) that I'm trying to learn but I don't know exactly *when* to change chords. Does each chord in the chord chart (attached) get a full measure? It's in 4/4 time and I don't know if each chord gets a whole measure (or how many, half measures, etc.)

Would appreciate any help in trying to understand! Thanks!

Alexandra

When it comes to chord charts like these, generally, you know when to change chord based on the lyrics.

For example, the song starts with the C chord as the singer begins with "What can wash..."

But when the singer gets to the end of the word "wash," you must change chords to A minor, and so on.

Chord charts like these are easier if you listen to the song, and try and play a long that way.

Hope that helps!
