After the fundamentals, you go into whichever genre (bliues, rock, or country) that appeals to you the most. They cover similar terrirory, they just cover it in the context of the genre. They will also teach you the basic soloing vocaubulary for that genre.

Personally I went into blues. I then went back and picked out some things from the rock course.

And songs! Pick whichever songs interest you. They don't have to fit into whatever genre you are learning. While going through blues, I learned a bunch of classic rock songs.
