I've just started with guitar tricks. The only thing is that I am really struggling to read the notation for the timing. I've read some notation translators but when I try to read the guitar tricks tab, I struggle. Is there any resource that can assist me with this?

Are you working on Guitar Fundamentals? Which specific lessons are you struggling with?

Also, there's a difference between tab & notation.

Tab (short for tablature) is very helpful because it shows which string & fret to play, but it is also limited because it doesn't indicate when to play. And that's the rhythm & timing.

That's why notation (standard music staff notation) is valuable: it shows the notes & rhythm, which is when to play the notes. But notation is a little more complex than tab. That's why we typically start with tab, then work toward standard notation. But that's also why most notation on GT contains both tab & notation! :)

The current GF course covers an intro to reading timing & rhythmic notation here:

Hope that helps! Please ask more if necessary & best of success!
