newbie acoustic guitar of fingerpicking

Hi there everyone

I am new to fingerpicking in particular and acoustic guitar and general but have fallen in love with both.

Until recently i have been borrowing guitars from friends (epi FT 150) and praticing on a baby taylor but feel that now is the time to have one that i can call my own (and so do my friends )

I have a 1000$ budget, am looking for an acoustic dedicated to fingerpicking, electro acoustic equipment is inessential, and have little time to spare for extensive guitar shop exploration.

I might add that i live in Paris where guitar shops are decent whent it comes to choice, but customer service is not "de rigueur"

I would be very grateful for any piece of advice so i can narrow down my scope of options

Kind regards

Cédric

I am hoping to eventually get into fingerpicking also, and although I have a Yamaha Acoustic Electric, based on your budget, I would suggest you look at the Martin GPCA4 which is close to 1000, or the Taylor 214CE which is around 800. Being you are in France those are in US Dollars Cedric, so I don't know what it would be in Francs. I like the acoustic electrics so that I can use an amp when I wish, or sit around a campfire without it. Hope this helps.

I can recommend the L03 Larrivee Price: $1748 US

You can buy L02 which which is an L03 with slight imperfections at Long & Mcquade $1299 Canadian or about $970 US. All Larrivee guitars are US produced now.
