Hello Everyone,

From an early age I told myself I wasn't musically inclined. I was good in school and sports, but didn't seem to have any aptitude for math or music. I reinforced that I couldn't do either.

That said, I've always been drawn to guitar, classical specifically. So I decided to finally give it a go. I've never done anything so challenging and demoralizing, yet also showing glimmers of excitment and hope.

I picked up a Breedlove Pursuit Acoustic in nyon (after trying a finger-slicing steel string). As mentioned, I love the tone from a classical guitar anyway, and it seems to be just as good on which to learn.

I'm only as far as D, A and E chord, and it's still a ridiculous challenge. I can do D and E pretty consistently but A gives me fits. I'm wandering in the dessert but I hope to see some progress soon. I signed up for GT so I could learn at my own pace, and control my own frustration and impatience.
