When people ask if I play the guitar I usually answer "well, I own a guitar . . ." I'm tired of that answer so I'm excited about this site and what it promises. I can play a number of chords and have played in front of people in a church setting but have never really progressed beyond advanced beginner, or maybe early intermediate . . .

I play a Seagull in the dreadnought body shape, and a Fender Telecaster. I also own a Takamine classical that I used for classical lessons for about a year and a half.

Since I joined this site I've decided to move through all the core lessons, including the early fundamentals. Even though I'm moving through those pretty quickly they have already been helpful This site is fantastic.

Thanks,

dh (Dave)

Welcome, Dave!

I found that it is always helpful and refreshing to go through the fundamental lessons. There's a lot of information to be learned and the simplest of information can go a long way.

Looks like you have all you'll need to progress, we look forward to learning about your journey with us.

Very helpful. Lisa is a terrific teacher. I love that she always gives information about the how and why of things. I'm a bit of a geek and love to "understand" why things are the way they are . . .

Thanks, it's fun here. My brother-in-law is also starting up and at least one nephew!
