40s beginner here, just signed up a week or so ago and currently making gradual progress through the initial steps within the Core Learning System, love the structured method and Lisa McCormack's videos are great, love her style.

Significantly trying to be smoother in transition between the initial simple chords that are taught, also finger placement on the strings not always that great, quite frustrating at times but I'll get there, patience is the key no doubt.

Playing on a work colleague's Squire Strat at the moment but just ordered a Yamaha Pacifica 012 Strat, no going back now.
