Good afternoon all, First off i must apologise for the avatar thngy but i cant seem to find one for an overweight brummie in his 50's which is odd as there are thousands of us ;-)

I have been guilty of owning guitars for many years now and despite many attempts to learn have faied miserably so this really is a last ditch attempt to do justice to my gear and hopefully string at least two chords together.

Only just signed up for the free 14 day trial but i do hope i get on with this and see where i end up by Christmas .................Jingle Bells perhaps ?

Hello there! You made it to the trial, so step one is done! Is there anything in particular you're trying to learn here so we could point you in the right direction? The bread and butter of GT is the Core Learning System, where members start from the beginning to brush up on the basics before moving on to the more complex stuff. Let us know if you have any questions! (PS. we just released some easy Christmas songs so make sure you do check out Jingle Bells :))

Thanks for the welcome its appreciated ;-)

I think that for myself over the years i have made the whole learning process too hard and by that i think perhaps i have put too much stress on myself rather than enjoy getting a relatively simple lick or chard progression right.

I am happy to work my way from pretty much the very begining and take smaller acheivable steps this time rather than booking myself in for a two week residency at The Albert Hall.

Thanks again for the welcome and ill be sticking around

Steve
