I've been serious about learing guitar this year and have trying for around 8 months. I'm a righty but have to play left. Am i wasting my time? I guess what I'm asking is being right handed can i learn to play left handed?

I don't think you're wasting any time. Just like anything else new to you, you have to learn it. Hang in there. You'll get it!

I'm left handed and learned to play righty, because there is not much choice for a left handed guitarist. If I can do it so can you.

Hi there, Gustavo Woltmann here. and yes it is worth your time. Just practice and practice until you get to it. I have a friend who studied in Metropolitan School of Panama that is left handed when playing guitar. He said at first it's hard but when you continue practicing you will get used to it. Now, he's a lead guitaris of thier band.
