Great question. I too am in my 60's. Sometime us experienced, (in life, not guitar), guys want to get to the meat of music which is playing songs. I went through Fundamentals one and two. Then went on to Blues one and two. While in Blues I ventured out to learn songs at GT, Youtube and other sites. As I learned the lessons from GT I found that the songs got easier and more fun. Both play on each other. If you are bored you need to reach out and find something to spice it up while still being committed to the lessons. If not, you will learn to just memorize cover songs without any knowledge behind what you are doing. That would be boring. Enjoy!
