Hi all,

I'm a fairly experienced guitarist (13 + years, regular wedding cover band gigging). I've just finished in the band and due to the nature of being in a covers band, I have joined GT to get a bit of new inspiration (not just play songs by other bands) and to fill the gaps where my playing isn't great

Any areas with GT, specific lessons worth looking at it in reference to:

- picking stuff up by ear, tips on how to do this (are there lessons for this)?
- better phrasing and playing my own playing (i.e. not just learning covers)

Steering me in the direction of the best places to find these would be massively appreciated!

Cheers, Andy

Lisa covers a little of that in this tutorial.

Anders also covers it in the Rock courses. While there isn't a lesson solely devoted to it, he mentions how to develop & use your ear throughout the course. You might have fun going through Rock 1 just for a refresher.

But chances are you'll get the most out of Rock 2, since you can already play!

Anders covers that in detail in Rock 2 & Blues 2! Check out Chapter 2 of Rock 2 in particular & just about all of Blues 2.

If there are specific techniques you are looking for, please ask! Have fun!

This is really helpful - thanks! I'll try these out in the next day or so,
