PRS make nice custom guitars. Over in england there's a player called Snail's Pace Slim who has been known to favour the strat, and yet he often uses custom made PRS' as his stage guitars, and he too gets a great sound for the Hendrix/ZZ-top sets he plays with his band The Hamsters. (If you live in england I really recommend you go and see them if they come to a venue near you.)

It isnt just the Nu-metal players who use them. Alex Lifeson used them on the Different Stages tour....previously he used Guild semi-acoustics.....changing guitars is one way you can develop as a player.
