if you have a strat, you can get a creepy tone, its not very dark, or deep, but its a high pitched screechy kinda thing. put on distortion, put it on the bridge pickup (at least thats how it is for me) and do some spanish style music, only with more vibrato.

or take the pick and scrape it across the whole fretboard on a string with distortion on, sounds like a plane takin off.

there are so many ways, turn the bass way up, treble way down, distortion, etc.

You want creepy tone, I take it you're not reffering to a sequence of notes but rather the application of creepiness to a current note or notes.
Here are some ideas:
close intervals E.g play an open string and then another a semitone higher or lower in pitch on another string. Try this chord 0,0,7,5,0,0 the c and b notes jar a bit. Try with chorus or flanger and some reverb.
Unison bending. Give it some distortion then play two notes simultaneously and bend one up to another pitch, in between you should get some freaky, fairly flinchsome wavering dissonance. Personally I love doing this.
Diminished and Augmented Triads. Here's a first position diminished triad : BDF, Root, minor 3rd, then add another minor third. Two minor thirds make a diminished 5th. Augmented triad, CEG# that's a major 3rd with another major 3rd added to make an augmented 5th.
"Tiger purr" - if you have a locking floating trem you can try pulling it away from the body of the guitar and letting it slap back, it oscillates making a cool purring sound that sounds evil with distortion.
Violining - aka the volume swell. Best with some delay or reverb. Hit the strings with the voluem turned down and increase the volume by wrapping your little finger around the volume pot and rolling it back gradually. Hard technique to get used to but well worth the effort:- most famous example perhaps on My friend of misery by mettalica.
Bending with delay. If you gradually ben da note upwards and apply delay the present note and the echo of the previous one will rattle together very dissonantly.
Harmonics - nice searingly high pitch with tons of distortion, can't beat it! Plenty on pinch harmonics on another thread on this site if you need help.

If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?
