Hi from Phoenix Az!
Let me start by giving this group my background. I have recently retired after 32 years at a semi conductor company. I have just turned sixty and have always wanted to play guitar. My wife bought me an Epiphone Les Paul Special II as a retirement present. I've always loved guitar and figured what the heck time to learn. I've seen many great bands starting in the 60's. My favorite guitarists of all time are Hendrix, and Duane Allman. My favorites above and beyond are Clapton, Satriani, Vai, Bonamassa, Glen Frey, James Taylor, Eric Johnson, Blues Saraceno, Leo Kottke, Neil Young, Robben Ford. I've purchased guitar for dummies, and use an iOS app to get me started. So far I've been focusing on E, D, A majors to get me started and going through the callous building stage now. I did not realize it was this painful. But God I love it!
