I had someone make fun of the amp that came with my Squier Strat until I pointed out a few things:

1. The guitar by itself costs 200$

2. The amp is probably worth about 50$

3. Cables would be about 6$

4. Gig bag: 15$

5. Total should be 260$ (not counting set up fee which was done for free).

6. I paid 225 for the set.

7. The biggie: I won't be ready to rock out a stadium or bar for a year or two so the amp does it's job perfectly.

Not to forget that the guitar itself isn't poorly constructed and the strings are okay for learning the basics/getting a feel for the guitar.

But that's my 2 cents.
